Description
The Tyrant CNC I.T.T.S. (Improved Tyrant Trigger System) is a CNC machined aluminum replacement for the factory polymer trigger shoe on Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glocks. This is the shoe-only version: it bolts onto your factory trigger bar with two stainless set screws, and the factory bar, trigger housing, connector and springs are all reused. Thing to know: you have to separate the factory shoe from the bar first, which means pressing out the factory pin. Tyrant also sells this shoe bundled with its own bar if you would rather not do that step.
Tyrant lists 15 percent less take-up and 10 percent less reset travel than factory, with a reset spring it rates 30 percent stronger than the OEM spring for a faster, more defined reset. Tyrant does not publish a pull weight, and it should not change much: this part replaces the shoe and spring, not the connector, and two independent reviews measured about the same pull before and after. The face is a hybrid shape, flat across the upper part with a curve at the bottom to index your finger, and it sits taller than the factory trigger, which Tyrant says suits larger hands. This one is the black anodized aluminum shoe with a black stainless steel safety blade and set screws. In the box: Tyrant trigger shoe, safety blade, reset spring, stainless set screws and an Allen wrench. Tyrant states all factory safeties are retained, including the trigger safety, which uses a thinner rectangular blade that sits flush with the face when pressed.
Fitment: Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glock 17, 17L, 19, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38 and 39 (Tyrant also lists the Ruger RXM). It will not fit Gen 5 or Gen 6 frames (including the G19X and G45), the large-frame G20, G21, G29, G30, G40 and G41, or the Slimline G42, G43, G43X and G48. Tyrant sells separate I.T.T.S. versions for Gen 5 and for the 43/43X/48. MOS slides do not affect fit.
Also in the Pro Shop: Timney Alpha for Gen 3-4, Apex Action Enhancement Kit for Gen 3-4, threaded barrels for Glock.

Who it’s for
Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glock shooters in USPSA Carry Optics, Limited, Limited Optics, Open and Production, plus PCSL and Tactical Games, who want a shorter take-up, a stronger reset and a metal face without changing the pull weight or the connector. It also suits a Gen 3 pattern Polymer80 or Ruger RXM build, with Tyrant’s caution that it cannot guarantee every P80.
Who should skip it
If you want a lighter pull, this is not the part: Tyrant does not claim a pull weight change, and it reuses your connector. Look at the Timney Alpha for Gen 3-4 (a complete drop-in unit with a lighter pull), the Apex Action Enhancement kit for Gen 3-4 (shoe, bar and Performance Connector), or a CMC drop-in. If you shoot a Gen 5, a large-frame 10mm or .45, or a 43X/48, this will not fit; Tyrant’s Gen 5 and 43/43X/48 versions and the Timney Alpha large-frame and Gen 5 versions are on the site. Some reviewers found the thin safety blade edge sharp on the finger pad, and a taller face adds reach for smaller hands. A shorter take-up also changes how the trigger safety feels, so treat it as a range and competition part and check your agency rules before putting it on a duty or carry gun. Aftermarket triggers are legal in USPSA Carry Optics, Limited, Limited Optics and Open. USPSA Production also allows an aftermarket trigger under rule 21.6 and has no minimum pull weight, but read the current rulebook before you rely on that. IDPA SSP and CO require factory or listed replacement parts, so check the IDPA equipment rules. PCSL and Tactical Games have no trigger restrictions.
