Description

The Timney 667-S is the 3 lb, solid curved-shoe version of the AR-15 Competition trigger. It is a self-contained single-stage drop-in module with a factory-set pull, and it is the lightest fixed weight Timney offers in this line. The break is short and clean, with no take-up to speak of before the wall.

The cassette drops into a mil-spec small-pin AR-15 lower and installs on your rifle’s original hammer and trigger pins. The housing design keeps the pins from walking, so no anti-walk pins are needed. Timney machines the hammer from S7 tool steel and the internals from A2 tool steel heat treated to Rc 56-60, in an aluminum alloy housing. Pull weight is not adjustable. In the box: the trigger module, set screws, and an Allen wrench.

Heads up: This AR-15 model does not fit .308 large-frame ARs or the S&W M&P 15-22.

Who it’s for

3-Gun and multigun shooters who want a light, crisp single-stage in a match rifle and like a traditional curved shoe. It is also a common pick for a rimfire-style AR trainer that mirrors the match gun.

Who should skip it

If you place your finger low on the shoe or prefer the flat feel most competition shooters run now, the 667-S-ST is the same trigger with a straight shoe. If 3 lb feels too light for a rifle that also does duty or hunting work, the 4 lb 668-S is the safer choice.
