Description
The Accu-Punch Master Set is Real Avid’s full pin punch assortment for firearm work. Real Avid states the 37-piece set covers all standard firearm pin sizes, with standard, roll pin, brass and specialty punches in one case. For an AR builder pushing trigger pins and a bolt catch roll pin, or a USPSA or PCSL pistol shooter drifting pins on a Glock or 1911, it puts the right punch in reach.
Real Avid lists the non-brass punches as hardened steel with nickel plating to resist corrosion, and includes brass punches for work where marring is a concern. Every punch has a hex-shaped shaft so it does not roll off the bench, and Real Avid adds rubber O-rings on the handles for grip. Specialty pieces named by Real Avid include a staking punch, a resin finishing punch and elongated punches for AR15 bolt catch installation. A Pin Alignment Tool is included to line up and start small pins. Everything sits in a labeled flip-up case.
Fitment: Real Avid positions the set for general firearm disassembly, assembly and customization, and names AR15 bolt catch work specifically. It will NOT include a hammer; Real Avid sells the Armorer’s Master Hammer separately and as a combo. If you only work roll pins on one AR, the Accu-Punch 11-piece roll pin set costs less and takes less drawer space. Anyone buying the AR15 Armorer’s Master Kit already gets an AR15 punch set in that case. If you do not own a gunsmith hammer, budget for one, because this set does not include it.
