The Armorer’s Master Kit AR15 is Real Avid’s boxed set of bench tools for building and working on an AR15, packed in one hard case. Real Avid states it covers what you need for the top 18 AR15 modifications and ships with step-by-step instructions for them. For a competitor who maintains their own carbine, it puts the barrel nut, castle nut and pin tools in one place.
Real Avid’s kit sheet lists these contents: Armorer’s Master Wrench with replacement hammer heads, Lug-Lok Upper Vise Block, Smart-Fit AR15 Lower Vise Block, AR15 Master Bench Block, torque wrench, Easy-Grip Handguard Tool, AR15 Pivot Pin Tool, AR15 Pivot Lock, AR15 Pin Punch Set, Pin Alignment Tool, Accu-Grip Picks, Bore Illuminator/Safety Flag, Front Sight Adjuster Tool and a professional tool case. Real Avid lists the punch set as 1/16 in roll pin, 5/64 in roll pin, 3/32 in, 1/8 in, 1/8 in roll pin and 5/32 in punches, a staking punch, a 3/32 in bolt catch roll pin starter and punch, and a 5/16 in non-marring finishing punch. Real Avid does not publish a drive size or range for the included torque wrench.
Fitment: Built around the MIL-SPEC AR15. Real Avid states the Lug-Lok fits all MIL-SPEC uppers and the Smart-Fit block fits all MIL-SPEC AR15 magwells. It will NOT hold AR10 or .308 pattern lowers as shipped (the AR10 sleeve is sold separately), it will NOT fit AR9 lowers, and the Smart-Fit lower block is NOT meant for barrel nut torque, which is what the Lug-Lok upper block is for. No gun vise is included.

Who should skip it
If you already own a bench block and punches and only need barrel nut and castle nut work, the Armorer’s Master Wrench alone costs less. If you want a crowfoot set with a stated 10 to 150 ft-lb range, look at the AR15 Pro Armorer’s Master Kit.
