Description
The Faxon EXOS-533 is a thread-on compensator cut to match the slimline slide on the Glock 43X and 48, so the comp carries the slide’s width and height forward instead of adding bulk. It threads onto a 1/2×28 barrel and Faxon retains it with thread locker on the barrel threads plus two 6-32 set screws that lock rotation. No shims or crush washer are needed. A threaded barrel is required.
Faxon machines it from 6061 aluminum with a black anodized finish, and lists the weight at 0.05 pounds, under one ounce. The design is a single chamber with angled ports that Faxon says direct gas upward to counter muzzle rise. Faxon lists the length at 1.218 inches, width at 0.865 inch, and height at 1.269 inches. The box includes thread locker, two 6-32 set screws, and a 1/16 inch Allen wrench. Faxon does not publish spring or ammo guidance for this model beyond noting that a comp can change how a pistol cycles and results vary by setup.
Fitment: Faxon lists the Glock 43X and Glock 48 only. The standard G43 is not listed. It will not fit the double-stack G17, G19, or G26, which use the EXOS-513, 543, or 553 depending on generation. Faxon says it is optimized for Faxon barrels; on other barrels, keep muzzle protrusion past the slide to 0.600 inch or less for a flush fit. MOS slides make no difference.

Who it’s for
43X and 48 owners with a threaded barrel who want a slide-matched comp for PCSL 2-Gun, Tactical Games, or a carry-sized range gun. In USPSA, a comped 48 lands in Limited Optics or Open.
Who should skip it
If your 43X or 48 still has the factory barrel, add one of the threaded barrels we carry for the Glock 43X and 48 first. Standard G43 owners are not covered by Faxon’s fitment list; the Zaffiri Blowhole for the 43, 43X, and 48 is the other slimline option we carry, and Zaffiri does list the standard G43. Expect to change holsters for the added length. USPSA Production and Carry Optics and IDPA SSP and CO do not allow compensators; IDPA CCP and ESP rules vary, so check the rulebook.
