Description
The Zaffiri Precision threaded barrel for the Glock 48 is a drop-in replacement with 1/2×28 threads for a compensator or suppressor, finished in gold TiN. Zaffiri makes it in house in Largo, Florida, and states it works in factory G48 slides and its own ZPS.2, ZPS.3, Z Series, and IBS slides for the 48. No fitting is required.
Zaffiri machines the barrel from 416R stainless steel and uses conventional rifling with a polished chamber and bore, which means cast or coated lead ammo is fine. The gold TiN finish is a PVD coating, a hard surface layer that will still show holster wear on the edges over time. Zaffiri lists the barrel as a drop-in match grade upgrade; it does not list a twist rate. The 1/2×28 pitch is the 9mm standard, so most compensators and suppressor pistons fit without an adapter.
Fitment: Zaffiri lists this barrel (part BA-G48-TH-GLD) for the Glock 48 only. It will not fit the Glock 43 or 43X, which use a shorter barrel and slide; Zaffiri makes a separate 3.9 inch 43/43X version that is also in this batch. It will not fit the Glock 19 or any double-stack Glock.

Who should skip it
If you shoot a Glock 43 or 43X, this barrel is too long; use Zaffiri’s 43/43X version. If you want a plain black barrel with a stated twist rate and an O-ring thread protector in the box, the True Precision Glock 48 threaded barrel is the other G48 option in this batch. USPSA Production and Carry Optics do not allow a threaded barrel with a device attached, so plan on Limited Optics, Open, PCSL, or Tactical Games.
