Description
The Timney AR PCC is a two-stage drop-in trigger built for blowback AR-pattern pistol caliber carbines. Timney specs it at 2 lb on the first stage and 2 lb on the second, for a 4 lb total pull. The 681 is the curved-shoe version. The point of a PCC-specific trigger is hammer durability: blowback bolts hit the hammer far harder than a 5.56 gas gun, and a trigger built for a rifle can batter itself apart in a 9mm.
It is a complete drop-in assembly. It installs on your carbine’s original hammer and trigger pins and works with the factory safety selector, so there is nothing else to buy. No fitting, no adjustment, and Timney says anti-walk pins are not required. Timney lists it as compatible with AR-style pistol caliber carbines and specifically not compatible with the SIG SAUER MPX or the Aero Precision EPC9. In the box: the trigger module, set screws, and an Allen wrench.
Heads up: This is a PCC trigger. Timney does not list it for 5.56 rifles, and the heavier hammer setup is tuned for blowback carbines.

Who it’s for

Who should skip it
If you run a SIG MPX or Aero EPC9, this one will not fit. If you want a straight shoe, Timney offers the same trigger in that shape. For a 5.56 rifle, the Timney AR-15 Competition (667-S or 668-S) is the right module.
