This is a three-spring replacement set (trigger, hammer, and disconnector) built to do two things at once. JP rates the kit at a 3.5 to 4.0 pound pull when paired with JP fire control parts. The other job matters more for reliability: the hammer spring is tuned to keep ignition consistent. JP notes that a lighter hammer spring can fail to light off hard primers, so this set is shaped to hold a clean trigger while still driving NATO-spec and harder foreign primers.
One thing to know: this kit is designed around JP fire control components. JP states it will not necessarily produce a meaningful change on standard mil-spec trigger parts, and it will not work in the JPFC-M modular trigger. On a duty or large-frame build, JP also recommends domestic ammo to guarantee ignition.
This is a tuning and maintenance part, not something a shooter feels on the clock past the lighter pull. If a JP trigger group is being refreshed or built, it is an inexpensive, sensible piece. On a stock mil-spec trigger, the gain is limited.
