Description
The SureFire Warden is a blast regulator that locks onto any SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach muzzle device. It does not quiet the rifle. What it does is push the muzzle blast forward instead of out to the sides, so the shooter next to you on the line, or the RO standing at your shoulder, is not eating concussion on every shot. It also cuts the dust cloud when you shoot prone. It is not an NFA item, so there is no paperwork.
The Warden mounts and dismounts with SureFire’s Fast-Attach system, the same way a SureFire SOCOM suppressor does, so it swaps in seconds. It only fits SureFire SOCOM series 5.56 and 7.62 flash hiders and muzzle brakes with the Fast-Attach interface. It does not fit a standard threaded barrel or other brands’ muzzle devices. It is machined from stainless steel and finished in black Cerakote. SureFire specs it at 3.5 in. long, 1.5 in. in diameter, and 7.8 oz. Designed and built in the USA.
Heads up: this is a blast shield, not a compensator. It will not reduce muzzle rise. Adding 7.8 oz at the muzzle also changes how the rifle swings. SureFire notes it cannot ship to California addresses.

Shooters who already run a SureFire SOCOM brake or flash hider and want to take their rifle to a class, an indoor range, or a shoulder-to-shoulder match without the side blast that makes a brake miserable for everyone nearby.
Who should skip it
If you do not have a SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach muzzle device, this does not fit your rifle. If your priority is a flat-shooting gun for 3-Gun, a compensator is a better use of the money, since the Warden adds weight and removes the recoil-reducing side venting of a brake.
