Description
The SilencerCo threaded barrel is a direct replacement for the factory Glock 17 Gen 5 barrel with 1/2×28 threads out front for a suppressor or compensator. SilencerCo machines it from 416R stainless steel and finishes it in black nitride, so it matches the look of the factory barrel until the thread protector comes off. It drops into a Gen 5 G17 slide with no fitting.
A thread protector ships with the barrel. If you plan to run it with a SilencerCo pistol can, note that the piston is sold separately and is matched to the 1/2×28 pitch. The 1/2×28 thread is the standard for 9mm, so most muzzle devices and boosters on the market fit without an adapter.
Fitment: this is the Gen 5 barrel (SilencerCo part AC5335). The Gen 5 G17 barrel has a different hood and lug profile than Gen 1 through 4, so this will not work in an earlier G17 slide. SilencerCo makes a separate barrel for those.

Who should skip it
If you shoot a Gen 3 or Gen 4 G17, this barrel will not fit; you need SilencerCo’s Gen 1-4 version.
