Description
The Geissele Super Precision is a one-piece AR-15 scope mount machined from a single block of 7075-T6 aluminum. This is the 34mm ring, Extended length version in Desert Dirt Color (DDC), Geissele’s tan-brown anodize that matches their DDC rails and charging handles. Extended moves the rings about 1.16 in forward of the mount base, versus 0.63 in on the Standard, for more eye relief or to clear a short 34mm scope body over the receiver. Four shear lugs take recoil, and two nut-and-bolt clamps each put about 1,400 lb of force on the rail, per Geissele.
The base spans seven Picatinny slots. Rings are 0.75 in wide with 2.8 in between them, and the caps swap between towers without affecting precision. Finish is Type 3 hardcoat anodize. The black version is 05-405B. Geissele also makes Standard and Hyper Extended lengths.

Who should skip it
DDC costs about 25 dollars more than the black 34mm Extended (05-405B) for the same mount. If a Standard length already fits your eye box, the 34mm Standard in DDC (05-417S) keeps weight closer to the receiver. 30mm tubes need the 30mm mount.
