Description
The Apex Action Enhancement Kit for Gen 5 is a two-part drop-in upgrade for Gen 5 Glock 9mm pistols and the .22 LR G44. Apex built it to shorten and lighten the Gen 5 trigger while leaving the factory trigger housing, safety plunger and springs in place. It replaces the factory trigger and trigger bar as one assembly and swaps the factory connector for an Apex Performance Connector. Apex lists it as a direct drop-in with no fitting required, and says swapping the trigger and bar back returns the pistol to stock.
Apex states the kit will reduce trigger pull weight by approximately one pound, shorten pre-travel, overall travel and reset distance, and give a smooth uptake and reset with a crisp trigger break. The shoe is a black anodized aluminum body in Apex’s Classic style: flat face, radiused front corners, flat sides with no face cuts, and a center-mounted pivoting safety blade. In the box: the Action Enhancement Trigger pre-installed on an Apex Gen 5 trigger bar and an Apex Performance Connector. There is no safety plunger in the Gen 5 kit. Apex states the center-mounted pivoting safety maintains factory safety values.
Fitment: Gen 5 Glock 17, 19, 19X, 26, 34, 45, 47 and the G44, MOS or not. It will NOT fit Gen 3 or Gen 4 pistols (different trigger bar and housing), and Apex says do not install it in Gen 6 pistols pending its evaluation. Apex also lists it as not certified for the Glock V Series, not compatible with .45 ACP or 10mm Gen 5 frames (G21, G20, G41, G40), not for Shadow Systems pistols, and not compatible with pistols already equipped with the Glock Performance Trigger mechanism. The slimline G43X and G48 take Apex’s slim frame kit instead. Apex states it is not for use with any forced reset trigger system.
Also in the Pro Shop: Timney Alpha for Gen 5, Timney Alpha for Gen 6, CMC drop-in for Gen 5 and Gen 6, threaded barrels for Glock.

Who it’s for
Gen 5 G17, G19, G34, G45 and G47 shooters in USPSA Production, Carry Optics, Limited and Limited Optics, Steel Challenge, PCSL and the Tactical Games who want a shorter, lighter trigger that keeps the factory safety setup and can be swapped back to stock in minutes.
Who should skip it
If you already installed the Glock Performance Trigger, Apex says this kit will not work with it; the two are either-or. Gen 6 owners should wait for Apex’s word or look at the Timney Alpha for Gen 6, which we carry. If you want a pull well under four pounds, this is not that trigger: look at the Timney Alpha for Gen 5 or the Tyrant CNC I.T.T.S. instead, and we carry the CMC drop-in for Gen 5 and Gen 6 as well. Remember that a lighter aftermarket trigger is a range and competition part; many agencies and some instructors say no for duty or carry guns. Division check: aftermarket triggers are legal in USPSA Carry Optics, Limited, Limited Optics, Open and Production; USPSA Production has no minimum pull weight and allows aftermarket triggers under rule 21.6, but read the current rulebook. IDPA SSP and CO require factory or IDPA-listed replacement parts, so check the IDPA equipment rules. PCSL and the Tactical Games do not restrict triggers.
