The Armorer’s Master Kit AR15 Pro is Real Avid’s torque-equipped AR15 armorer’s kit. Real Avid states it combines a torque wrench set, vise blocks and AR15 pin punches with a guide to 18 common modifications. For an AR builder or 3-Gun shooter swapping barrels and muzzle devices, the draw is torquing to a number instead of by feel.
The core is the Master-Fit 13-Piece AR15 Crowfoot Wrench Set: 12 titanium-coated crowfoots for A2 parts, barrel nuts, castle nuts and muzzle devices, plus a torque wrench Real Avid rates at 10 to 150 ft-lb, 1/2 in drive, plus or minus 4 percent, in both directions. Also listed: the Lug-Lok Upper Vise Block AR15, Smart-Fit AR15 Vise Block, Master Bench Block AR15, an AR15 pin punch set, a Pin Alignment Tool, the Top 18 mods book and a hard case. RSR’s listing also names an armorer’s hammer with the punches.
Fitment: Real Avid lists AR15 firearms only. It will NOT cover AR10 or other platforms. It will NOT include a bench vise for the blocks. It will NOT torque scope rings or action screws, since the wrench starts at 10 ft-lb. Versus the standard Armorer’s Master Kit AR15: the Pro adds the crowfoot and torque wrench set, Master Bench Block and Pin Alignment Tool. The standard kit centers on the Armorer’s Master Wrench and adds the Easy-Grip Handguard Removal Tool and AR15 Pivot Pin Tool, which the Pro page does not list. The standard kit also lists a torque wrench, but Real Avid publishes no range for it; the Pro’s is rated. Both share the two vise blocks, punches, guide and case.
