Description
The AR15 Tool is Real Avid’s folding multi-tool built around AR15 field maintenance. Real Avid lists 37 functions, centered on carbon cleanup, malfunction clearing and small fixes. For a 3-Gun or Tactical Games competitor, it is a range bag or belt tool for a dirty bolt or a quick fix between stages, not a bench tool.
Real Avid lists a stainless steel frame with G-10 grip plates. Named functions include a 440C serrated Tanto knife, spring-loaded pliers, a carbide cutter, a carbide glass breaker, a bolt override tool, a 3-position locking bit driver that sets at 90 and 180 degrees, a detachable pin punch, a carbon pick, a 10-function precision bolt scraper, a bolt carrier scraper with file, and an A1 and A2 front sight adjuster. It comes with 12 bits and a MOLLE compatible ballistic nylon sheath. Real Avid does not list the bit sizes or the full breakdown of all 37 functions; RSR lists the knife blade at 3.25 in. The blade is there for utility cuts, so this tool does double duty as a knife in the range bag.
Fitment: Real Avid designs it for the AR15 platform, and the front sight adjuster is listed for A1 and A2 style front sight posts. It will NOT act as a barrel nut, castle nut or muzzle device wrench, since Real Avid lists none of those functions, and it offers no torque control. Real Avid does not state fit on AR10 bolt carrier groups.
