Description

The Tyrant CNC I.T.T.S. (Improved Tyrant Trigger System) is a CNC machined aluminum replacement for the factory polymer trigger shoe on the Glock 43, 43X and 48. This is the shoe-only version. It bolts onto your factory trigger bar with stainless set screws, and the factory bar, trigger housing, connector and springs are reused. Thing to know: the factory Slimline shoe is pinned to its bar, and you have to punch those pins out to mount the Tyrant shoe. That step is not reversible, so keep the bar version in mind if you want the option of going back to stock.

Tyrant pairs the shoe with a reset spring it rates 30 percent stronger than the OEM spring and describes the result as a faster, more pronounced reset with a defined wall. Tyrant does not publish take-up or reset numbers for the Slimline version. Tyrant does not publish a pull weight, and it should not change much: this part replaces the shoe and spring, not the connector, and two independent reviews measured about the same pull before and after. The face is a hybrid shape, flat across the upper part with a curve at the bottom to index your finger, and it sits taller than the factory trigger, which Tyrant says suits larger hands. This one is the black anodized aluminum shoe with a black stainless steel safety blade and set screws. In the box: Tyrant trigger shoe, safety blade, reset spring, stainless set screws and an Allen wrench. Tyrant states all factory safeties are retained, including the trigger safety, which uses a thinner rectangular blade that sits flush with the face when pressed.

Fitment: Glock 43, 43X and 48, including MOS versions, any production year. It will not fit the G42 (.380, different frame), the G26 or G27, or any standard-frame Gen 3, 4 or 5 Glock. Tyrant sells separate I.T.T.S. versions for those.

Also in the Pro Shop: Apex kit for the 43, 43X and 48, threaded barrels for Glock.

Who it’s for

Glock 43, 43X and 48 owners who shoot them in PCSL, Tactical Games, local steel matches or Carry Optics-style club divisions and want a metal face and a sharper reset on a Slimline gun, where trigger options are limited.

Who should skip it

Skip it if you want a lighter pull: Tyrant does not claim a pull weight change on the Slimline guns, and the factory connector stays. The Apex Action Enhancement kits for the 43, 43X and 48 (we carry the aluminum and polymer versions) include their own bar and connector and are the usual pick for a lighter Slimline trigger. G42 owners are out of luck here; it does not fit. If you would rather not punch the pins out of your factory shoe, buy the bar version of this same trigger instead. Some reviewers found the blade edge sharp and saw wear on the gold plating. A 43X or 48 is usually a carry gun: a shorter take-up changes how the trigger safety feels, so weigh that and any agency rules before installing it on one you carry. Aftermarket triggers are legal in USPSA Carry Optics, Limited, Limited Optics and Open. USPSA Production also allows an aftermarket trigger under rule 21.6 and has no minimum pull weight, but read the current rulebook before you rely on that. IDPA SSP and CO require factory or listed replacement parts, so check the IDPA equipment rules. PCSL and Tactical Games have no trigger restrictions.
