Description
The Apex Action Enhancement Trigger is the shoe from Apex’s Glock kits sold by itself for Gen 3 and Gen 4 pistols. Apex built it as the cheapest way to get the flat aluminum face and shorter travel of the full kit while keeping your existing trigger bar and connector. Installation is not quite a drop-in: you remove the factory polymer trigger from your trigger bar, then pin the Apex shoe in its place. Apex suggests a trigger assembly block to support the shoe while you drive the pin so you do not crush it. Everything else in the gun stays factory.
Because no connector ships with this part, Apex makes no pull weight claim for it; the pull stays at whatever your connector gives you. What Apex lists is reduced over-travel and reset distance, a smooth uptake, a shortened reset and a crisp trigger break. The shoe is black anodized aluminum in Apex’s Classic style: flat face, radiused front corners, flat sides, with a center-mounted pivoting safety blade. Apex states that safety maintains factory safety values. In the box: one Action Enhancement Trigger, nothing else. You reuse your factory trigger bar, connector, plunger and springs.
Fitment: Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glock 17, 17L, 19, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38 and 39 using the factory trigger bar. Apex lists it as NOT compatible with Gen 5 or Gen 6 pistols, the G40, G42 and G45, and Shadow Systems pistols, and recommends against installing it in the G20 and G21 because of frame fit. Apex says it is not certified for use with the Glock Performance Trigger and is not for use with any forced reset trigger system.
Also in the Pro Shop: Timney Alpha for Gen 3-4, Tyrant CNC I.T.T.S. for Gen 3-4, threaded barrels for Glock.

Who it’s for
Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glock owners who already run a connector they like, or who want the flat shoe on a budget, in USPSA Production, Carry Optics, Limited, Limited Optics, PCSL or the Tactical Games.
Who should skip it
If you want a lighter pull, this is not the part; it changes travel and feel but not weight. The full Apex Action Enhancement Kit for Gen 3 and 4 adds the Performance Connector and safety plunger and Apex lists it at about a pound lighter. If you are not comfortable pressing a pin out of your trigger bar, buy the kit, which comes pre-assembled on a new bar. Gen 5 and slimline owners need Apex’s Gen 5 or slim frame kits, and anyone who wants a sub three pound trigger should look at the Timney Alpha or Tyrant CNC I.T.T.S. instead. Division check: aftermarket triggers are legal in USPSA Carry Optics, Limited, Limited Optics, Open and Production; USPSA Production has no minimum pull weight and allows aftermarket triggers under rule 21.6, but read the current rulebook. IDPA SSP and CO require factory or IDPA-listed replacement parts, so check the IDPA equipment rules. PCSL and the Tactical Games do not restrict triggers.
