Description
The Timney AR-10 Competition trigger is the large-frame version of Timney’s single-stage drop-in cassette. The 670 is the solid curved-shoe model with a fixed 4 lb pull. It is built for .308 and other large-frame ARs where the standard AR-15 Competition module will not fit.
It is a 100 percent drop-in unit. The cassette installs on your rifle’s original hammer and trigger pins, and Timney’s housing keeps the pins captive, so anti-walk pins are not required. The pull is factory set and non-adjustable, hand-assembled and calibrated before it ships. Timney lists it as compatible with mil-spec AR-10 and .308 platforms, and also the S&W M&P 15-22. In the box: the trigger module, set screws, and an Allen wrench.
Heads up: Large-frame ARs follow no single receiver standard. Timney says it fits mil-spec AR-10 pattern lowers; if you are running an odd-pattern .308 lower, check Timney’s fitment notes first.

Who should skip it
This is the large-frame module. If your rifle is a standard 5.56 AR-15, buy the AR-15 Competition (668-S) instead; the 670 will not fit. If you want a lighter break in a large-frame gun, Timney’s two-stage AR PRO fits AR-10 lowers and breaks at 2 lb total.
Division note: 3-Gun, multigun and USPSA PCC rules do not restrict aftermarket AR triggers or set a minimum pull weight; PCSL bans forced-reset and binary triggers by name. Check the current rulebook before a major match.
