This is the standard Magpul QD sling swivel: a basic push-button quick-detach link between sling and rifle. Press the button, the swivel releases from the QD cup; let go and it locks back in. It fits any standard QD attachment point and takes one-and-a-quarter-inch webbing, which covers most two-point and convertible slings.
It does the core job without extra features. The finish is manganese phosphate, which Magpul lists for corrosion resistance, and the steel body holds up to normal sling loads. Magpul states it pairs with the MS1 sling for a two-point setup or with the MS1 MS4 adapter for a convertible sling.
Two things to know. This is a single swivel, so a front-and-rear setup needs two. And it is the basic version: it does not have the rotating, rollover-resistant bale or the dual-release tabs of the Magpul QDM. A shooter who wants a simple, low-cost QD link is well served here. A shooter who has fought sling rollover at the swivel, or wants the lower-profile dual-release body, should look at the QDM instead and pay a little more for it.
