Description
This is a ten pack of Luth-AR AR-15 buffer retainers with springs. The buffer retainer is the little spring-loaded pin in front of the receiver extension that holds the buffer in the tube when you open the rifle. It is also the part most likely to launch across the shop when you unscrew a buffer tube, and it can shear if a stock is over-torqued. Having ten on hand means a lost or broken one never stops a build.
You get ten LR-01 buffer retainers and ten LR-02 retainer springs. The retainers are steel with a manganese phosphate finish and Luth-AR lists them as mil-spec at .247 in. diameter. They fit any mil-spec AR-15 lower with a standard receiver extension, carbine or rifle length. To install, drop the spring and retainer in the hole at the rear of the lower, then thread the receiver extension in until its lip captures the retainer. Made in the USA.

Armorers, club gunsmiths, and anyone who builds or services several ARs and wants a drawer of retainers so a lost pin never holds up a job.
Who should skip it
If you own one rifle and need one retainer, the single LUTH AR Buffer Retainer w/Spring set we carry is the better buy. Ten of anything only makes sense when you will use them.
