Description
The True Precision Hellcat threaded barrel is a drop-in replacement for the standard Springfield Hellcat that adds 1/2×28 muzzle threads for a suppressor or compensator. True Precision states it is machined to drop in with no fitting, and it is cut out to clear the RDP’s factory compensator hardware, so it works in that variant too. True Precision describes it as a better-than-OEM drop-in design.
True Precision lists USA-sourced certified 416R stainless steel, a proprietary broach-cut six-groove bore with a 1:10 right-hand twist that it rates for all ammo including cast lead, and a SAAMI-spec 9×19 Luger chamber. This version wears a black nitride (Melonite) finish that True Precision says hardens the surface from within the steel. The barrel ships with True Precision’s high-heat integral O-ring lock thread protector, which resists backing off under recoil. One thing to know: the barrel runs 3.85 in overall, so about three quarters of an inch of thread and protector stick out past the slide.
Fitment: True Precision states this barrel is designed for Hellcat 9mm pistols with 3.1 in barrels, including the RDP Hellcat. It will NOT fit the Hellcat Pro, which uses a longer 3.7 in barrel; True Precision makes a separate Pro barrel (TP-SHCPB-XTBL). For California pistols with a loaded chamber indicator, True Precision says the LCI must be removed or shortened.

Who should skip it
Hellcat Pro owners need the Pro-length barrel, not this one. If you want a factory comp and barrel in one box for a standard Hellcat, the Springfield Armory Hellcat threaded barrel and compensator kit we carry does that with OEM parts. Check your division: USPSA Production and Carry Optics do not allow a threaded barrel with a device attached, though a bare threaded barrel with just the protector is worth confirming with your match director.
