Description
The Backup Tactical threaded barrel for the Glock 43 and 43X replaces the factory barrel and adds 1/2×28 threads for a suppressor or compensator. Backup Tactical built it as a drop-in part for factory slides, so there is no fitting to do. This is the black nitride version; Backup Tactical also makes it in flat dark earth, olive drab, and bare stainless.
Backup Tactical lists the barrel as AISI 416 stainless steel with a black nitride finish, pulled-broach rifling at a 1:16 twist, and a SAAMI spec 9mm chamber. Overall length is 3.97 inches without the thread protector. A thread protector ships with the barrel, and Backup Tactical backs it with a lifetime warranty. The 1/2×28 pitch is the standard for 9mm, so most compensators and suppressor pistons fit without an adapter.
Fitment: Backup Tactical lists this barrel (part G43TB-BLK) for the Glock 43 and Glock 43X, which share the same factory barrel length. It will not fit the Glock 48; Backup Tactical makes a separate, longer barrel for that gun. It will not fit the Glock 26 or any double-stack Glock.

Who should skip it
If you carry a Glock 48, this barrel is too short for that slide; look at the True Precision Glock 48 threaded barrel in this batch instead. If you want a tighter match chamber and a target crown for accuracy work, the True Precision Glock 43 barrel lists a 6-groove broach cut bore and an 11 degree crown. One thing to know: Backup Tactical lists a 1:16 twist, which is slower than the 1:10 most aftermarket 9mm barrels use; it is fine for standard 115 to 147 grain loads. USPSA Production and Carry Optics do not allow threaded barrels with a device attached, so this is a Limited Optics, Open, PCSL, or Tactical Games part.
