Description
The GOAT is Ballistic Engineering’s two-stage competition trigger, and it is a light one. The first stage takes about 4 ounces to a distinct wall. The second stage adjusts from 1.25 to 2.5 pounds. This is the straight-shoe version.
The parts are A2 tool steel cut by wire EDM, which holds the engagement surfaces to the same geometry from one trigger to the next. The hammer and disconnector are NP3 coated for lubricity and corrosion resistance. Ballistic Engineering describes the break as having zero creep and no discernible overtravel, with a strong reset even at the lowest pull weight. We will add our own numbers after range time with a demo unit. It carries a lifetime transferable warranty.
Heads up: Under 3 pounds total is a match trigger weight. It rewards a trained finger and punishes a sloppy one. Function-check the rifle after install, including a safety check and a reset check, before you load it. It is built for AR-15 lowers. If you want to run it in a PCC, confirm compatibility with your PCC’s manufacturer before you buy.
