Description
The BAD-ASS PRO is Battle Arms Development’s ambidextrous AR-15 safety with a reversible core that gives you either a 90 degree or a 60 degree short throw. The short throw is built into the center piece, so it works in any mil-spec lower without the extra detent notch that older short-throw safeties needed. That is the detail that matters. You can run 60 degrees on a lower that was never cut for it.
The kit includes standard and short steel levers and the reversible center. The levers are interchangeable, so a right-handed shooter can run a standard lever on the left and a short lever on the right to keep it out of the way of the trigger finger, and a lefty can flip that. The levers lock to the center with a dovetail and an internal locking mechanism secured by a 5/64 in. set screw, with no exposed screw head to shear off. BAD says it works with any trigger designed for a mil-spec semi-auto safety. A short-throw marking sticker is included.

Who it’s for
3-Gun and PCC shooters who want a short-throw ambi safety with steel levers that will not loosen, and anyone who shoots left handed or switches shoulders on a stage.
Who should skip it
If you only want a single-sided 90 degree safety, the one in the Battle Arms 3-Piece Enhanced LPK we carry does that for far less. If you are on a tight budget and do not mind aluminum levers, the Strike Industries Flip Switch we also carry gives you ambi 60/90 for a few dollars less.
