Description
Remington UMC Leadless R21420 is 223 Remington training ammo built to keep lead off the firing line. The 55 grain bullet has a copper jacket over a compressed lead-free core, and the case uses Remington’s Catalyst lead-free primer. Remington says the compressed core is designed to break up on steel and reduce splashback, which is why indoor ranges and steel-heavy training classes call for this kind of load.
It is a 55 grain FMJ, so it feeds and shoots like standard UMC 223 in any AR-15 or bolt gun chambered in 223 Rem or 5.56 NATO. Each box holds 20 rounds, and RSR packs 200 rounds (10 boxes) to a case.
Shipping: Ammunition ships ground only, to the buyer’s state where legal. We cannot ship ammo to addresses where state or local law prohibits it. You must be 21 or older to buy rifle ammunition.

Who it’s for
New competitors and 3-Gun shooters who practice at indoor ranges or facilities that require lead-free ammo, and anyone shooting a lot of close steel who wants less splashback.
Who should skip it
If your range allows standard ammo and you shoot outdoors, regular 55 grain FMJ costs less per round for the same practice. For scored rifle stages past 300 yards, a 69 to 77 grain match load will outshoot any 55 grain ball.
