A chipped or worn extractor on a PCC shows up as a failure to extract, usually mid-stage. JP’s 9mm extractor kit is the spare that fixes it: a replacement extractor with a fresh extractor spring, the two parts that wear together.
JP lists the kit for both the JP-5 and the H&K MP5, so it covers a PCC shooter running either platform. For a high-volume JP-5 shooter, having one in the match bag turns a match-ending stoppage into a ten-minute fix between stages.
One thing to know: JP’s compatibility claim is for H&K-built MP5s. Non-H&K clones vary, and JP says to verify that the clone accepts H&K-standard parts before buying.
The trade-off is price. Sixty-six dollars for an extractor and spring is more than a spare for most AR-pattern guns, but the MP5-pattern extractor is a different, more involved part and JP is the source for the JP-5 version.
