Crush washers are the usual way to time a compensator, and they are usually a fight. JP designed the Double Crush Washer to take the struggle out of that step. It is built to auto-center on the barrel and crush smoothly and consistently, so a comp can be timed without wrestling it.
This is a 1/2-28 washer with a .750 outside diameter in black, sized for standard .223/5.56 muzzle threads. Like any crush washer, it sets timing through compression, so plan on a fresh washer if the muzzle device comes back off later. For a clean comp install, JP's design is aimed at making that one job repeatable.
