Description
The Strike Industries Mass Driver Comp for the Gen 4 Glock 19 does not thread onto the barrel. It rides on a replacement guide rod and recoil spring assembly that comes in the box and sits at slide width in front of the Gen 4 slide. Strike Industries states that the comp pushes forward as the slide moves back, so the moving mass acts as a counterbalance while the comp also redirects gas to fight muzzle rise. Since nothing attaches to the muzzle, the stock Gen 4 barrel stays in the gun, and Strike says it is compatible with most aftermarket threaded Glock barrels too. Strike recommends gunsmith installation and lists a 25 inch-pound torque spec for the guide rod nut.
Strike lists steel construction with a black finish and a precision CNC machined, blended, no-snag profile. The bore is widened to cut down on baffle strikes and keyholing, and a 2.5 millimeter relief cut at the top rear reduces lipping and slide damage. The package includes the comp, recoil spring, guide rod, fitment washer, guide rod head, internal spring, and guide rod plug. Strike does not publish a spring weight, but it warns that +P and +P+ 9mm ammo will cause premature internal spring wear and failure.
Fitment: Gen 4 Glock 19 only. Strike states the Gen 4 version is for Gen 4 pistols; Gen 3 and Gen 5 each have their own part. The full-size Gen 4 G17 uses SI-G4-MDCOMP-S. Designed and tested on OEM Glock and Strike Industries slides; Strike does not guarantee fit on other aftermarket slides or frames. No threaded barrel required.
Matching threaded barrels: Rival Arms Precision Threaded Barrel (Glock 19 Gen 3/4, 9mm, 1/2×28, Black PVD).

Who it’s for
Gen 4 G19 owners who want a comp on a stock barrel for USPSA Limited Optics or Open, PCSL 2-Gun, or Tactical Games.
Who should skip it
Gen 3 and Gen 5 G19 slides need their own Mass Driver version, and a G17 needs the full-size part. If you run a Gen 4 G19 with an aftermarket slide, Strike does not guarantee fit. Shooters who want to keep +P ammo in the rotation should look at a thread-on comp (Faxon makes an EXOS-543 for Gen 4) with a threaded barrel instead. USPSA Production and Carry Optics and IDPA SSP and CO do not allow compensators; IDPA CCP and ESP rules vary, so check the rulebook.
