Description
The Strike Industries Enhanced Bolt Catch is a drop-in AR-15 bolt catch with a wider paddle than the factory part. The bigger surface makes it easier to lock the bolt back with your thumb and easier to slap the bolt home after a reload without hunting for the lever. The overall shape stays close to mil-spec, so it does not stick out and get bumped.
It is investment cast from 8620 steel and case hardened, which is the same material and process as a mil-spec bolt catch, with a matte black finish. It installs in place of the factory catch using your existing bolt catch spring, plunger, and roll pin. One bolt catch is in the package; no spring, plunger, or pin is included. It fits forged mil-spec AR-15 lowers.
Heads up: Strike says this catch does not fit Polymer80 lowers or other non-mil-spec receivers with a shelf or wall protrusion in the bolt catch pocket.

If you have a Polymer80 or billet lower with a non-standard pocket, check fit first or stick with the part your receiver maker specifies.
