This is the small-parts kit that keeps a JP-5 running through a season. JP packages the six high-wear pieces that get lost or tired first: the braided firing pin spring, extractor spring, ejector E-clip, ejector spring, roller retainer spring, and the retainer spring pin.
The value is not any one part. It is having the E-clip that pinged off the bench and the retainer spring that got bent during a roller swap, already in the bag at the match instead of on backorder. At $34 the kit costs less than the firing pin spring and extractor spring bought alone.
One thing to know: JP says the roller retainer spring, ejector E-clip, and ejector spring are JP-5 specific. The rest crosses to an H&K MP5, but an MP5 owner is buying half a kit. Non-H&K clones should be checked for H&K-standard parts fit.
The trade-off is that the kit has no rollers, extractor, or lock piece. Those are the wear parts that change how the gun runs, and they are sold separately.
