A crush washer is the simple way to secure a muzzle device on a 1/2×28 barrel. This GrovTec washer does that job for .223 and 5.56 builds. It compresses as the muzzle device is torqued, holding the device in place and taking up the gap so it seats tight.
One thing to know: a crush washer sets timing by being crushed, so it is effectively single-use. If a muzzle device needs to be removed and re-timed often, a peel washer or a shim kit is the better tool. For a standard install that stays put, a crush washer is the inexpensive, proven choice.
