Description
The King Competition Carbon is the lightest shell holder King builds. It is the seventh-generation magnetic system on a carbon fiber rod frame instead of steel, and the whole 12-round assembly weighs 234 g. King states that is close to half the weight of the Gen 6 12-round it replaces. On a belt that already carries pistol and rifle magazines, that is the difference between a caddy you notice and one you do not.
The retention works the same way as the rest of the King line: shells sit inside the frame, magnets hold them, and a short straight pull releases the whole grab with no friction to drag through. The springs are upgraded on this generation, with more tension and a longer movement range, and the magnets carry a 24K gold plating layer. Shells are staggered for a right or left hand grab (choose the grip when ordering) and the spacing supports quad loads, dual loads, or any mix.
Fitment: Standard 12-gauge 2-3/4″ competition shells. Not intended for 3″ shells. Mounts to a belt through a Blade-Tech Tek-Lok, Tek-Mount Mini, or Safariland ELS receiver, sold separately. A Tek-Lok mount needs M5 screws that are not in the box. Check your division rules on caddy standoff before running an adapter in IPSC.

Who it’s for
3-Gun, multigun, and IPSC shotgun competitors who want the most shells per belt slot at the least weight, and who already load by quads or twins.
Who should skip it
If you are new to quad loading and want to start with a smaller, lower-cost caddy, the King Competition Gen 7 8 Round gives you the same retention system in the 8-round size. If you want clip retention instead of magnets, the Carbon Arms 12 Round Shot Shell Holder is the other 12-round option we carry.
