Description
The Radian Afterburner and Ramjet for the Glock 19 Gen 3 is a matched barrel and compensator set, sold together, in Radian’s black and gray colorway. Radian’s goal was a compensator for a carry size Glock that needs no threaded barrel. The Ramjet has no threads. Radian’s Intra-Lok mount uses a tapered locking screw that seats into an angled V-groove on the underside of the barrel, which times the comp and holds it without thread locker. Install is a barrel swap: remove the factory barrel, drop in the Ramjet, reinstall the recoil spring assembly, slide the Afterburner over the muzzle, and torque the screw to 15 inch pounds per Radian. No shims or crush washer. One screw releases the comp for cleaning.
The Ramjet is a fluted, match grade barrel in hardened 416R stainless steel with a gas sealing chamber and a loaded chamber indicator cut. The Afterburner is hardened stainless steel. Both wear Radian’s Radianite coating, black on the barrel and gray on the comp. Gas vents through one top port; there are no side ports. Radian lists the Afterburner at 0.47 inch long, which extends a G19 slide to Glock 17 length so it fits open bottom G17 holsters. Radian publishes up to 44 percent recoil reduction with 115 grain ammunition. Radian’s stated design goal was reliable cycling with the stock recoil spring, and Radian sells a Compressor guide rod with 13, 15, and 18 pound springs for tuning. Included: Ramjet barrel, Afterburner, Intra-Lok tapered screw, and a Torx bit.
Fitment: Radian lists this version for the Glock 19 Gen 3 only. Radian sells separate Gen 4, Gen 5, and Gen 6 versions; buy by generation. It will not fit a G17, G19X, or G45. Radian states fitment for factory Glock slides and does not publish an approved list of aftermarket slides, so a Gen 3 pattern aftermarket slide is unverified until you try it. The Afterburner only mounts to a Ramjet barrel.

Who should skip it
If your G19 is a Gen 4 or Gen 5, buy the matching Radian version; this one is Gen 3 only. If you already have a threaded Gen 3 barrel from the threaded barrels we carry for the Glock 19, a thread on comp like the Strike Industries Mass Driver or Faxon EXOS-513 costs less than buying a second barrel. Division rules: USPSA Production and Carry Optics do not allow a compensator, and IDPA SSP and CO do not either; IDPA CCP and ESP vary, so check the rulebook.
