Description
The Icarus Precision Omega is a barrel and compensator sold as one kit for the Glock 19 Gen 5, built in collaboration with Agency Arms. The point of the design is that the comp does not thread on: Icarus uses a patent-pending locking system where the comp pushes onto the barrel and turns ninety degrees to lock, with no tools and no threads. Icarus states the single-port comp is tuned to run with the factory recoil spring and all ammunition types, so there is no spring swap or fitting.
Icarus machines the barrel from 4150 steel and the comp from 4340 steel, and both are finished in black nitride. Because the barrel has no threads, Icarus describes the kit as a threadless, fifty-state legal design, and that also means there is nothing to hand-tighten or loctite before a match. The trade-off is the same as any comp: it adds length in front of the slide, so check your holster, and Icarus does not publish a barrel or overall length. The comp is removable, but the barrel alone will not take a standard thread-on device.
Fitment: Glock 19 Gen 5 with a factory (OEM profile) slide. Icarus states it will only fit OEM profile slides, so aftermarket and windowed slides are out. Icarus offers a separate Gen 3 version, and this Gen 5 kit will not fit a Gen 3 or Gen 4 G19. The 19X and 45 share the Gen 5 G19 slide, and a retailer quoting Icarus lists them as compatible with the Gen 5 G19 option.

Who it’s for
Gen 5 G19, 19X, and 45 shooters who want a compensator without the thread-and-time routine, and who shoot where a comp is legal: USPSA Limited Optics and Open, PCSL, and Tactical Games.
Who should skip it
If you run an aftermarket slide, Icarus says this will not fit, full stop. If you want a threaded barrel so you can swap between a suppressor and a comp, this is the wrong product; the Faxon Match Series or Ballistic Advantage G19 threaded barrels we carry take any 1/2×28 device. It also costs more than a threaded barrel plus a basic comp. And USPSA Production and Carry Optics do not allow a compensator, so this stays in the safe for those divisions.
