Description
The Backup Tactical threaded barrel replaces the 3.9 inch factory barrel in a SIG P320 Compact and adds 1/2×28 threads for a suppressor or compensator. Backup Tactical states it drops right in to P320s with or without the loaded chamber indicator, so no fitting is expected in a factory spec slide.
Backup Tactical machines the barrel from AISI 416 stainless steel with pulled broach rifling at a 1:16 twist and finishes it in black nitride. The chamber is SAAMI spec 9mm and is cut for the LCI, so a P320 with the indicator keeps it working. Overall length is 4.52 inches without the thread protector. A thread protector ships with the barrel, and Backup Tactical covers the barrel with a lifetime warranty. The 1/2×28 pitch is the 9mm standard, so most muzzle devices fit without an adapter. One thing to know: the 1:16 twist is slower than the 1:10 on most aftermarket 9mm barrels; it is the same rate SIG uses on the P320, so it is not a step backward from factory, but heavy subsonic bullets are better served by a faster twist.
Fitment: Backup Tactical lists this barrel for the P320 Compact with the 3.9 inch factory barrel. It will not fit the P320 X-Compact, which uses a 3.6 inch barrel and slide; Backup Tactical calls that out directly. Backup Tactical does not name the P320 Carry or M18 on the page, so those are unconfirmed even though they share the 3.9 inch barrel length. For the Full Size, Backup Tactical sells a separate barrel.

If you own a P320 X-Compact, this barrel does not fit; the True Precision P320 X-Compact threaded barrel on this site is the one for the 3.6 inch slide. If you shoot a P320 Full Size, the Faxon flame fluted Full Size barrel is the right length. USPSA Production and Carry Optics do not allow a threaded barrel with a device attached; Limited Optics and Open do.
