Description
The Blue Force Gear Vickers 221 is a padded Vickers sling that converts from two-point to single-point without tools. The front of the sling attaches with BFG’s RED swivel, short for Rapid Emergency Detachment. Pull it and the front end pops free of the rifle and clips into the Burnsed Socket on the rear of the sling, and you are now running single-point. Blue Force Gear specs the RED swivel release at about 7 lb of straight pull, so it does not let go on its own. This is the MultiCam Black version.
Otherwise it is a Padded Vickers: 1.25 in. solution-dyed Cordura webbing, a 2 in. closed-cell foam inline pad, and the quick adjuster with a pull tab. The hardware is ITW GhillieTex acetal. Unlike the standard Padded Vickers, this one ships ready to mount: a RED swivel at the front, a push-button QD swivel at the rear, and the molded polymer Burnsed Socket. Your rifle needs QD sockets at both mounting points. Made in the USA.
Heads up: if your stock has a slot or wire loop instead of a QD socket, you will need BFG’s Universal Wire Loop with a push button socket to mount the rear.

Who it’s for

Who should skip it
If you never run single-point, the standard Padded Vickers Sling we carry is about forty dollars less and does the two-point job just as well. The RED swivel and Burnsed Socket also add a little bulk at the front mount compared to a plain QD swivel.
