Description
The Strike Industries Enhanced Magazine Plate for the Glock 42 replaces the flat factory base plate with an extended one that adds two rounds of .380 ACP and gives your pinky a place to sit. On a gun as small as the G42, that extra finger of grip changes how it shoots more than the two rounds do. Strike shapes the plate with a low-drag profile so it does not snag on the draw from a pocket or an appendix rig.
It fits factory Glock 42 magazines and installs like any Glock base plate: push the retaining insert in, slide the factory plate off, slide this one on with the factory spring, and let the insert lock it. Strike specs it at 0.4 oz and about 0.98 in. tall. One plate is included per package. No tools are needed, but keep your thumb on the spring.
Heads up: Strike notes this plate will not give the full +2 with Glock magazines using the newer base plate insert, part number 33249-03. With ETS magazines it is +1. Check your magazine before you count on the extra rounds.

Who should skip it
This is a carry-gun part, not a competition part. It only fits the G42, so it does nothing for a G43, G43X, or any 9mm Glock. If your magazines have the 33249-03 insert, you will not get the full +2 and should look at a plate made for that insert.
