Description
The CMMG Bravo 22LR AR Conversion Kit turns your 5.56 AR-15 into a .22 LR trainer in about ten seconds. You pull the bolt carrier group, drop in the CMMG stainless steel conversion bolt, load a dedicated 25-round magazine, and shoot. Same trigger, same optic, same controls, at a fraction of the ammo cost. This version ships with three 25-round magazines, so you can run a full practice session between reloads.
The Bravo is CMMG’s base kit: the all-stainless conversion bolt assembly plus magazines, and nothing else. CMMG says it works in most 5.56 and .223 chambered rifles with a standard-diameter buffer tube and round-style hammer. Notched hammers can cause light strikes. For ammo, CMMG recommends 36 grain plated round nose loads for the most reliable function. Accuracy is limited by your 1:7 or 1:8 barrel, so expect plinking and drill accuracy, not match groups.
Heads up: .22 LR will not cycle a piston-driven AR and will not run in a 9mm or 300 Blackout upper. Clean the chamber and bolt after use, since rimfire ammo is dirty and the smaller bullet leaves lead in a 5.56 bore.

Who it’s for
New competitors and anyone who wants cheap trigger time on their match rifle. Three magazines make it the right version for club practice nights and for teaching a new shooter without constant reloading.
Who should skip it
If you want to be able to clear a rimfire stoppage with the forward assist or want CMMG’s anti-jam charging handle, buy the Echo kit we carry instead. If you shoot a lot of match ammo through the .22 already, a dedicated .22 upper will group better than a conversion in a 1:7 barrel.
