Description

The Geissele Standard Lower Parts Kit has the small parts you need to finish or rebuild an AR-15 lower receiver, minus the grip and minus the fire control group. That last part matters. Most builders who buy Geissele parts already plan on a Geissele trigger, so this kit skips the mil-spec trigger, hammer, and disconnector you would throw away anyway. What you get instead is Geissele’s Posi-Snap safety selector and an improved safety detent, which give a firm, positive click between safe and fire.

The kit includes 18 part types: takedown and pivot pin detents and springs, takedown and pivot pins, mil-spec bolt catch with plunger, spring, and roll pin, buffer retainer and spring, magazine catch, release button, and spring, the Posi-Snap safety with detent and spring, and a mil-spec trigger guard with roll pin. You supply the trigger group, grip, grip screw, and buffer system.

Heads up: No trigger, hammer, or disconnector in this kit. Pair it with a Geissele trigger, or any drop-in trigger group, to complete the lower.

Who it’s for

Builders finishing a stripped lower who already have a Geissele or other aftermarket trigger and a grip picked out, and want quality small parts and a crisp safety without paying for a mil-spec trigger they will not use.

Who should skip it

First-time builders on a budget who need everything in one bag should get a full LPK that includes a trigger group and grip. If you want an ambidextrous safety, this kit ships a single-side Posi-Snap, so budget for a separate ambi selector. Geissele also sells this kit with a grip if you want that included.
