Description
The Magpul DAKA Soft Case SC35 is the 35-inch soft case in the DAKA line, sized for 16-inch carbines, SBRs, and pistol-caliber carbines. The shell is 600D TPU-coated fabric with RF-welded seams, and the walls are semi-rigid so the case stands upright and opens flat for loading. The zippers are YKK AquaGuard with 550 paracord pulls and they accept TSA-style locks.
The floor has four MOLLE-style base panels with DAKA Gear Straps included, so you strap the gun down instead of letting it slide. Three stretch mesh pockets each hold up to two PMAG 25 LR/SR GEN M3 mags, plus a zippered mesh organizer and a large document pocket. Dual carry handles and stowable attachment points for a sling or strap. Magpul lists the weight at 4.45 lb. It also drops into the DAKA Hard Case C35 as a liner.
Size note: the interior is 34.5 inches long. A 16-inch AR with a collapsed stock and a flash hider fits. Add a suppressor, a fixed stock, or an 18-inch barrel and you will need the SR44.

Who should skip it
If the rifle wears a suppressor or has an 18-inch barrel, get the DAKA Soft Case SR44. If you fly, this is not a hard case and will not pass on its own, so pair it with the DAKA Hard Case C35 or skip straight to the hard case.
