Description
The Magpul DAKA Hard Case C35 is the carbine-length case in the DAKA hard case line, with a 35.3-inch interior sized for AR15 carbines, SBRs, and pistol-caliber carbines. It is built around the DAKA GRID Organizer instead of pick-and-pluck foam, so you arrange blocks around the gun and the base does not soak up moisture or solvent. This is the black version.
The shell is injection-molded gas-charged polypropylene with a micro-lattice structure, a water and weather resistant gasket, and a self-equalizing pressure valve. Two push-button cam latches open one-handed. It rolls on ball-bearing wheels with rubber overmolding and reinforced hubs, has three handles, recessed lock housings with lock pass-throughs for padlocks, and nesting lugs for stacking. In the box: the case plus the GRID Organizer with eight triple blocks and eight double blocks. Empty it weighs about 15 lb, about 17 lb with the GRID. Made and engineered in the USA.
Size note: a 16-inch AR with a collapsed stock and a muzzle device runs 32 to 34 inches, so it fits. Add a suppressor or a fixed rifle stock and you may be over 35.3 inches. Measure first. Interior depth is 5.5 inches total.

Who it’s for
PCC and carbine shooters who fly to matches or want a lockable wheeled case for a 16-inch AR, and do not want to pay in weight and trunk space for a 44 or 53 inch case.
Who should skip it
If your rifle has an 18-inch barrel, a fixed stock, or a suppressor that stays on, you will be over 35.3 inches. Get the DAKA Hard Case R44. If you need to carry two rifles, the R44 is the smallest DAKA case Magpul rates for two guns.
