The Delrin backplate keeps it lightweight compared to aluminum-backed caddies, and the mounting orientation is very adjustable. I run mine at a slight angle to reduce wrist contortion during the grab, and the hardware accommodates that kind of fine-tuning easily. The backplate is pre-drilled for Safariland ELS, Blade-Tech Tek-Lok, and TMMS mounting systems, though the mount hardware itself is sold separately.
This is a fixed 8-round holder — it’s not the modular pinwheel system, so it cannot be expanded to 10 or 12 rounds by adding individual SSL clips.

The Carbon Arms 8 Round Shot Shell Holder is an 8-round shotshell caddy designed for belt-mounted use in competitive shooting. It uses Carbon Arms’ TWinS (Two in Shotgun) clip system, holding 12-gauge 2-3/4″ shells horizontally for strong-hand or weak-hand retrieval.
The caddy supports multiple loading methods from the same carrier: four Twin Loads (grabbing 2 shells at a time), two Quad Loads (grabbing 4 shells at a time), or any combination. This makes it useful for competitors who are transitioning between loading methods or who want to mix techniques based on how many shells they need to load at a given point in a stage.
This version uses Regular sized injection-molded clips in black. The clips hold shells at a standard spacing from the Delrin backplate. Carbon Arms also offers an XL Clips version that provides additional standoff distance between shells and the mounting plate — the choice between Regular and XL comes down to hand size, loading style preference, and how you want the shells to present during your grab.
The Delrin backplate is pre-drilled to accept Safariland ELS forks, Blade-Tech Tek-Lok, and Blade-Tech TMMS mounting systems. Mounting hardware is not included and must be purchased separately. The caddy mounts at adjustable angles, allowing you to dial in the orientation that works for your draw.
This is a fixed 8-round holder and is not expandable — it cannot be converted to a higher capacity by adding additional clips. All clips and hardware are injection-molded in the USA with domestically sourced hardware.
