The American Defense Tarheel Challenge is back and ready to push competitors to their limits in 2025. Hosted by Tarheel 3-Gun, this two-day outlaw 3-gun match promises dynamic stages, challenging long-range targets, and plenty of opportunities to showcase your skills. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or a rising star, this match is designed to test your abilities with rifle, pistol, and shotgun in exciting and diverse scenarios.

Event Overview

• 8 Stages Over 2 Days:
  • 4 stages per day in a full-day match format.
  • Stages feature natural terrain, including jungle runs and creative layouts with multiple shooting options.
  • Expect fast, technical challenges, reloading tests, and long-range engagements.
• Target Setup:
  • Approximately 70% MGM steel targets, promising a weekend of ringing steel.

Round Count

• Pistol: 175–200 rounds
• Shotgun Birdshot: 175–200 rounds
• Rifle (<200 yards): 125–150 rounds
• Rifle (>200 yards): 30 rounds
• Slugs: 5 rounds

• May 2: Stage Walk-Through and Registration
• May 3–4: Main Match

Registration and Fees

• Cost: $325 (includes lunch both days)
• Sponsor Shooters: $35 (requires sponsor confirmation and code)
• Refund Policy:
  • Before Feb 1: 75% refund (minus $25 processing fee)
  • Before Mar 1: 50% refund (minus $25 processing fee)
  • After Apr 1: No refunds

Prize Table

• Top 25% in each division will walk the prize table.
• Random Draw Bags for all other competitors.
