WCF&W 3 Gun Club will be hosting the Burris AR vs AK Match on Saturday & Sunday September 26th & 27th 2026 at the Weld County Fish & Wildlife, High Plains’ Shooting Range in Eaton CO. This years match is being sponsored by Burris, find what matters!
Check in is at 8am, mandatory shooters meeting at 830, first shots 9am. We will shoot 5 stages Saturday, and the remaining 3 on Sunday followed by tear down and awards. (No shooters meeting on Sunday go directly to your stages)
We follow the Colorado 3 gun ruleset, but open division is the only one allowed to make rifle modifications between stages without match director approval (caliber may not change)
The following safety information applies:
1) The WCF&W 3 Gun Club runs a cold range. Firearms must be unloaded when not in use. This is defined as, no magazine or ammunition loaded in the firearm with the slide forward or cylinder closed and hammer down. The only time you may load or make your firearm "HOT" is under the direction of a range officer (RO). "Concealed Carry" is not authorized while participating in the match.
2) Firearms can only be uncased, handled or cased in the safety areas. Safety areas are located between North berms 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 and South berms 2 & 3 and 3 & 4. All other times your firearm must remain holstered or cased.
3) No ammunition or loaded magazines can be handled in the safety area.
Shooters must register on Practiscore in order to shoot match.
Stages - 8 stages.
Round Count - 250 minimum round count. Bi-metal ammo will be allowed at the shooters choice on stages containing paper targets only. Stages with targets other than paper, NO steel core or specialty ammo is allowed on any other stages, RO's will be checking with magnets
