2023 PCSL Championship

After a chaotic year of finding a home for this match, the PCSL team is working with PrairieFire Nevada to host the event at their amazing facility in Pahrump, NV, about 45 minutes outside of Las Vegas.

There will be some changes to the match structure as compared to previous years. Please read all details carefully to understand.

The biggest two changes are:

1. Switching to AM/PM format, with the entire match shot over two days (Friday and Saturday December 1-2), with awards, grand prize drawings, shoot-offs, and PCSL classifier match available on Sunday Dec 3rd. This allows a more comfortable travel schedule to and from Las Vegas for competitors, and also gives us the option to offer a limited number of all-day squadding options. This means that you can shoot a second division, or plan your shooting schedule around your time limitations.

2. Allowing a 1-Gun option to participate in the same event. The match will be built from the ground up as a fantastic PCSL 2-Gun Championship level challenge that you’ve all come to expect. The option of 1-gun divisions will not detract from the 2-gun experience in any way. 1-Gun divisions will simply shoot the handgun portion of the stages only, potentially with some slight procedural changes or indicated extra targets. Note that 1-gun and 2-gun divisions will be separated by squad. There will not be mixed squads of 1 and 2-gun division shooters. 1-Gun squads will have higher capacity to even out match flow and eliminate backups.

As we are building a new relationship with PrairieFire at their brand new range (previously Front Sight), the match will feel very different from the events we’ve run at the Cobalt range in previous years. For one ,the facilities at PrairieFire are amazing and will be highly appreciated by all competitors. But understand that we will not have as much natural terrain, and there won’t be a car stage, or pallet city this year. There will however be one amazing natural terrain stage, and all of the bays here are large, beautifully kept, and allow for epic stage design and very challenging field courses.
