The Zoo City Armory “The Gauntlet” is an intense shooting competition designed to challenge both the physical endurance, strength and marksmanship abilities of its athletes. Competitors navigate a demanding course that includes a variety of obstacles, requiring them to run, climb, lift, move and maneuver through rugged terrain, all while maintaining precision with firearms. The event tests not only speed and agility but also accuracy under pressure, with timed shooting stages spread throughout the course. Participants must demonstrate a unique blend of strength, stamina, and sharpshooting skills, making “The Gauntlet” a true test of all-around athleticism. Athletes will need to be able to move objects at a variety of weights and engage targets from 1-400 yards.
*Mission / Spirit of the Gauntlet – Designed to be more of a training event to test yourself and equipment than a competition. We advocate Knowledge Distribution; if you see someone having trouble with a certain task / skill and you have a solution, help them. We encourage coaching during this match! *
